Welcome to our caravan FAQ section, we aim to answer some of the questions needed to have happy caravaning.

Q. How often does my caravan require servicing?
A. Servicing is recommended annually. Even if the van has not been used frequently, water ingress, brakes, tyres should be checked as it should prevent larger bills later on. (If carried out by a professional, they will checkĀ  gas and other items to protect your safety.)

Q. Tyres, how often should i change them.?
A. Tyres start to show signs of age at around 3years+, every likelihood at 5 years they should be changed. If the tyre hasĀ  good tread depth, the walls may show signs of cracking, making it dangerous.

Q. Water system, should it be drainined?
A. yes. at end of season drain all water from the system. open drain plug to drain last drops. This can also be done on the last trip home, open all taps and it should empty. At start of season flush through with whole water butt with water purification tablets or milton solution. (Others makes are available)

Q. I bought a used caravan and it smells of damp, will it go?
A. The best was is to test walls for signs of damp with a meter.

Q. Should i unplug the Gas bottle when travelling?
A. Absolutely YES!!. When caravan in storage, or left over winter.
